Togue Brawn is a fisheries policy and seafood expert and Maine seafood evangelist who’s eager to help American eat more, better seafood (especially Maine dayboat scallops*).
Why scallops? Because so many people love them, but so few have ever tasted a fresh, pure one.

In addition to running the largest direct-to-consumer scallop business in the nation, I also serve on the New England Fishery Management Council, I’m the co-chair of Maine’s Seafood Promotion Council, the co-chair of Maine’s Seafood Economic Accelerator and a board member of the Maine Fishermen Forum. In my role as a fisheries advocate and Maine seafood evangelist (especially Maine scallops!) I’ve appeared on television, radio, podcasts, and in a wide variety of print and social media.
I also run virtual tastings and cooking classes, because the best way to appreciate just how amazing seafood can be is to taste it.
I’d love to help you or your audience understand fisheries and seafood better, or just have fun enjoying the world’s best seafood. So let me help you enjoy a fun, informative, delicious seafood experience.
Where I’ve Appeared
Life is too short to eat bad seafood.
Navigating (mostly bogus!) marketing can be daunting. I want to help people up their seafood game and learn to make confident, delicious choices.
Education is a major part of my mission, because until you know this level of quality exists, you’re not going to seek it out.
I do that one taste at a time. Tasting is believing.
My Background
I’m the proud daughter of a Maine lobsterman. I grew up on the coast of Maine and my first job was working at a local fishmonger. My love of Maine’s commercial fishing industry led me to a graduate degree in Marine Policy and I now combine my fisheries management expertise, my passion for Maine’s scallop industry and my love of telling a good story to help Americans eat better seafood.
